Bar Association Joins Chamber of Commerce March to Support Cutting City Wage TaxThe Philadelphia Bar Association, in conjunction with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, is calling upon all attorneys, their staffs and their colleagues to march in favor of substantially cutting the city wage tax. Monday, April 8, marchers will convene at 8:30 a.m. in the food court of the Bellevue, located at Broad and Walnut Streets. The march will begin at Broad and Walnut Streets and conclude at the site of the wage tax hearings scheduled for Monday morning. The hearings have been moved from City Hall due to flooding and will most likely be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
The Philadelphia Bar Association encourages you to participate in the march, and send a clear-cut message to City Council that wage tax needs to be cut if the city is to survive and prosper.
The Bar Association is urging lawyers, their friends, families and associates to write or call Council members at in support of the tax cut.
